Located on the lower level of the St. Cecilia Music Center building, the Terryberry Gallery showcases area artists throughout the year, making it a unique and beautiful space for hosting small receptions or as an overflow space when renting the Mika Music Library.

Mary Jane Pories

MARY JANE PORIES, MAT, AEA
Mary Jane is a full-time visual artist and writer. She is also an award-winning, equity actor, improviser and former mainstage cast member of the Second City who applies her improvisational skills to creative problem solving. Mary Jane holds a BA in Art and English and was Art Director/Graphic Designer for a small magazine before earning a MA in Teaching. She studied painting at Bennington College and Savannah College of Art and Design and later taught art in high school and design thinking at Kendall College of Art and Design.


                                                 
Mary Jane recently published Color Me Happy: A Memoir in Poetry, Painting, and Prose, available on Amazon. Her work is in private collections, has been exhibited in juried shows throughout the region, and has been included in Salann Magazine and The Hopper magazine. Mary Jane lives in Grand Rapids, MI with her wife, Rhonda.

Following this exhibit, Mary Jane has an upcoming additional solo at VanAndel Library Oct - Dec, 2024. AllArtWorks Online Gallery exhibits her work year-round. You can also view more of her work online at maryjanepories.net.
